Menstrual Health Day

On this Menstrual Health Day, AMHAO CBO stands in solidarity with women and girls in Lodwar, Turkana North, and beyond. We urge all Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), government bodies, and partners to join hands in supporting this important day through the donation and distribution of sanitary pads.

Access to menstrual hygiene is a basic human right and a dignity issue. No girl should miss school or any opportunity because of a lack of sanitary products.

We sincerely thank KDII for their ongoing efforts in educating and empowering our women and girls with vital menstrual hygiene knowledge. Let us all commit to breaking the stigma and ensuring that every woman and girl can manage her period safely and with dignity.
